Church on TV

Every Sunday my grandmother attends church at what she calls “bedside Baptist”. She really does not attend church anywhere, but instead watches the Church channel that she got when she ordered DIRECT TV. I think that she misses actually going to church. I think she only missed church a handful of Sundays in the past 50 years, but when she fell and broke her hip two years ago, she decided that she would spend the majority of her time at home. I go to see her every Wednesday night and she likes for me to take her to Picadilly to eat dinner. Then we go to the grocery store to get her groceries for the week. Thursdays are the only days she goes anywhere. She does like to walk around in her yard and look at her flowers a few times per week. She used to plant her own flowers, but now she pays someone to plant them for her. It is sad to see her getting older because she is becoming less active. I think it is great that she has not completely given up on getting out of the house.
