Got your house on the market and you’ve done your homework to make it ready? Home staging is as much about “keeping it ready to show” as it is about “getting it ready to show.”

Bathroom decorating with soft colorsOnce you have a professional home stager come through and help you prepare your house to sell, you have to keep it that way.  A little attention to detail and planning will give your house an edge when showing.

  • Go throught the house each evening and pick-up things you’ve used, dishes, clothing and more.  This clutter control will cut time in the morning to get the house ready
  • Set a time to dust and wipe down surfaces at least once a week or more often if you can
  • Keep the kitchen clean – this is a home staging MUST!
  • If you’ve done your homework and cleaned out closets, de-cluttered surfaces and storage areas, it should be easy to find places to store the things you use everyday
  • Empty trash daily and keep recycling out of sight.
  • If you have pets, make sure to take care of their needs and find a place to store dishes, litter and the pets if possible
  • Make your beds everyday!!! Nothing will turn buyers off faster than seeing all your mess
